Old Buckenham Hall in Suffolk will have a new Head from September, with the arrival of James Large
James Large becomes Head of Old Buckenham Hall School, Suffolk from September. Large grew up in the county and joins OBH from Norwich School, where he has spent the past 13 years. His wife, Harriet, is also a teacher. “I am excited to begin a new chapter at Brettenham Park with my wife, Harriet, and our son, Albie,” he says.
“We share a genuine love of boarding schools and are very much looking forward to immersing ourselves in the hustle and bustle of life at OBH. We shall arrive in September having enjoyed thirteen years in Norwich, during which time I have held various roles at Norwich School and Harriet at Norwich High School and Beeston Hall.”
The incoming Head read Zoology at the University of Southampton before completing teacher training at University of East Anglia in Norwich. “Alongside my passion for the Biological World, I love sport in all its forms having represented Great Britain as a sailor from a young age and, more recently, represented England in Touch Rugby. I also have a deep appreciation for the Creative Arts,”
James Large is working with current Head David Griffiths over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition at OBH at the start of the next school year.
