Repton has welcomed Martin Speight as its new Technical Director of Cricket
Martin Speight joined Repton School in January as Technical Director of Cricket. A talented wicketkeeper-batsman, and formerly with Sussex and Durham, he was the recipient of the Walter Lawrence Trophy for the fastest First-Class century although he is most remembered for his performance in the 1993 NatWest final.
Repton School has a strong cricket tradition, having educated more than 150 first-class cricketers, three Test captains, and players that include legendary English cricketer C B Fry, Canadian international Nitish Kumar and Ross Whiteley of Worcestershire CCC.
Cricket is enjoyed by boys and girls of all abilities, under former England wicket keeper and Nottinghamshire CCC captain Chris Read as Director of Cricket.
