Royal Hospital School (RHS) in Holbrook, Suffolk has welcomed Irfan Latif as its new Headmaster this term

Royal Hospital School (RHS) in Holbrook, Suffolk, has welcomed Irfan Latif as Headmaster. Previously Principal of DLD College London, he has had a leadership career across the independent sector, as Head of Sexey’s School, Bruton in Somerset and Deputy Head (Academic) at Bedford School. He has also held leadership positions at St Benedict’s School, Ealing, Whitgift and Haberdashers’ Boys’ School. He serves on the board of the Boarding Schools’ Association (BSA) and the Independent Schools’ Association (ISA). “It is an honour and privilege to lead such an iconic and historic school,” he says.

Founded in 1712 as part of Greenwich Hospital and with a mission to provide boys from seafaring backgrounds with arithmetic and navigation skills, the school moved to its current site on the River Stour in 1933. Today the school offers co-ed day and boarding education to children aged 11-18.
