St Dunstan’s College has announced a groundbreaking partnership with Chelsea FC Foundation, set to widen access to top-flight sport for young people across Lewisham and south-east London
St Dunstan’s College and Chelsea FC Foundation have forged a new partnership designed to increase access to high-quality sporting experiences across Lewisham and south-east London. As part of the football partnership, Chelsea FC Foundation will have a full-time officer based at the school to develop the new programme. They will work closely with the St Dunstan’s team to reach out and build relationships across Lewisham, as well as seeking to identify further partnership and wider community opportunities.
The partnership will see a calendar of events take place across the year, including experiences for the wider community. Chelsea FC Foundation will also support St Dunstan’s with Lewisham sporting events, coaching sessions, and supporting state schools with sports days. The Foundation will deliver coaching for St Dunstan’s pupils from Monday to Thursday and facilitiate student visits to the Chelsea FC training ground in Cobham.
St Dunstan’s Head Nick Hewlett says: “We are delighted to announce this new partnership with Chelsea FC Foundation.
