Legendary Somerset band The Wurzels have been invited to perform at a special public event at Taunton School this June. Cider-drinkers and combine-harvester fans will be warming up their vocal chords to singalong to the dulcet tones of the famous scrumpy and western band on the evening of Saturday 29th June in the summer marquee at Taunton School.
The 750-capacity party tent will be decorated with straw bales and bunting to create a proper Somerset farm atmosphere on the beautiful green lawns in front of the School.
Local band ‘Hot Meat’ will be the supporting act and will no doubt get the eager crowd warmed-up and ready for the Wurzels to take centre stage.
A traditional hog-roast (and veggie roast) will be available along with a fully-licensed bar selling local cider as well as other family friendly drinks. Tickets are selling fast for the first large scale music event of the summer.
Prices start at £20 or £25 including food. Under 16s are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
Visit the Taunton School website to purchase tickets for all the family.
