The Roche School in Wandsworth has a new Head from September, as Jonny Gilbert takes on the lead role

Jonny Gilbert becomes Headteacher of The Roche School in Wandsworth in September, He joined the school as Deputy Head 10 years ago and will continue the work of Vania Adams, who is retiring after 14 years at the helm. Gilbert will continue to champion the Spanish Bilingual stream, successfully introduced two years ago.

 “The Roche School is a very special place. I love working here and want to continue to see it thrive,” he says. “My personal goal in education is to contribute to a school that seeks to ensure the lifelong happiness of the child. This means of course great academics but it also means fostering global citizens with empathy and confidence.”

Two existing staff from the Senior Leadership team, Charlotte Docherty and Ricki Hamilton, will form a co-Deputy Headship team to support Jonny Gilbert in his new role.
