A new alliance between St Dunstan’s and The Villa, announced this month, brings the south-east London schools closer together
St Dunstan’s Education Group and The Villa have announced a new partnership that brings their schools closer together.
The partnership will give children at The Villa the opportunity to transition to one or more of St Dunstan’s schools at 7+, following their time in the Pre-Prep.
Head of St Dunstan’s, Nick Hewlett says: “I am delighted to be bringing our schools closer together. The schools within the St Dunstan’s Group and The Villa have shared values and a long history together, with many of the pupils going on to join one of our schools in Year 3.
“Parents will now be able to benefit from the new partnership without the worry of a stressful 7+ experience.”
Louise Collingwood-Ellis, Head of The Villa says: “The partnership will enable our schools to work closer with one another, sharing best educational practice and drawing on one another’s expertise. I look forward to working closely with the teams across the St Dunstan’s Group.”
The news comes at an exciting time for the St Dunstan’s Education Group, which includes St Dunstan’s Junior School, St Dunstan’s Senior School and Rosemead Preparatory School. In the last year, the group has received three significant strengths from the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) following inspection visits.
The Villa was rated outstanding for early years’ provision, personal development and behaviour and attitudes in its most recent Ofsted inspection.
Both the St Dunstan’s Education Group and The Villa School and Nursery will continue to operate as entirely independent entities, with no change in day-to-day running or the transition processes for current pupils.
