Heathfield School in Ascot has appointed Lou Scott as its new Deputy in charge of Pastoral and Boarding

Heathfield School, the independent secondary boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18 has appointed Lou Scott as its new Deputy Head (Pastoral and Boarding).

Commenting on her appointment, Lou Scott says: “I firmly believe in the value of an all girls’ education and the opportunities it affords students to develop a positive self-image, and support female empowerment”.

Scott began her teaching career at The Royal School, Haslemere and has worked as a teacher, sports coach and deputy principal in the UK and around the world. Most recently she was Deputy Principal (Pastoral) at the International School of Milan.

In her new role, she is looking forward to building upon existing school initiatives, including the Flourishing and Positive Psychology programmes.  She has commissioned an independent boarding review to assist in the development of its strategic vision, taking into account the changing face of education and the relatively recent addition of day students to Heathfield.
