Head boy at Millfield, Oska Zaky, has achieved second place at the Moving Image Awards, for the music video he created for his Media Studies A Level

Osaka’s video is for ‘80s Films’ by Jon Bellion. He submitted it last year alongside hundreds of other films. It was shortlisted in the ‘best music video’ category in December.

The British Film Institute, in London, hosts the Moving Image Awards. The awards recognise the country’s most talented young film-makers. In fact, Oska hopes to pursue a career in professional music by using his videography skills to present his own original songs.

Aimee Coelho, head of media at Millfield, said: “The Media Department at Millfield has a proud history of supporting pupils. We help our students to pursue their creative talents. This happens on both a practical and academic level. With the media industry being the second fastest growing industry in the UK, we are keen to help our pupils to reach their pathway to success. This is the second time a media pupil has reached a national final in the past year. We are really proud of Oska’s achievements.”
