QE has a new lead for its highly successful motorsports team, bringing practical engineering skills and inspiration to students at the school

Queen Ethelburga’s Collegiate has a new driver for the CityCar Cup Championship incorporating the Student Motorsport challenge 2025. Emilia Vincent, an ex-Motorsport Engineering student from Wiltshire College brings a wealth of experience to engage students. 

Emilia Vincent hung up her ballet shoes and age 16, picked up her racing boots and began karting, having been inspired whilst watching a documentary by the female racing driver and Formula E team principal Susie Wolf. In 2021, she joined the Castle Combe Hot Hatch Series where she finished second in class and continued with the series into 2022. Emilia joined the Student Motorsport challenge in 2023 with her old university, Wiltshire College, securing a podium finish at Brands Hatch, and continued with the CityCar Cup Championship into 2024 where she finished an impressive 15th overall out of a field of 44 drivers over the season – she was the only female driver.  

“We are very pleased to have Emilia join QE Motorsport, we have a good mix of male and female team members so to have Emilia is just fabulous,” says Helen Snuggs, QE Motorsport Team Leader. “We are looking forward to drawing on her wealth of experience in terms of being the driver and with her engineering knowledge and expertise – exciting times ahead!”
