Bedford School and Northamptonshire County Cricket Club are collaborating to bring on young talent
Northamptonshire County Cricket Club (NCCC) and Bedford School have announced a partnership to help promising cricketers on their path. The agreement will see Bedford School’s elite cricket pupils receive high-performance training, while the school grounds and facilities, including indoor and outdoor cricket nets, will be used by NCCC’s age-group cricket programme for the county.
There are already strong links between the two institutions with current NCCC players Emilio Gay and Gus Miller, both of whom are Bedford School alumni, encouraging the boys to aim high. Emilio Gay made a ‘good luck for the season’ Instagram reel for the Bedford School boys earlier this year.
Head Master of Bedford School James Hodgson says:,“We’re delighted to officially join forces with NCCC. This partnership aligns perfectly with our commitment to holistic education and sporting excellence and together we will inspire the next generation of cricketers”.
