New Head for The Leys Cambridge

Claire Ives heads up The Leys in Cambridge, taking the reins during its 150th anniversary year

Clare Ives is new Head of The Leys in Cambridge, joining in its 150th-anniversary year. She was previously Senior Deputy at Sevenoaks and held senior roles at Canford. Dr Ives studied History at University of St Andrews, also completing a PhD, and moved into education from the Civil Service.

“From my first visit, I was struck by the warmth of the community and the School’s unwavering commitment to nurturing the whole person,” she says. “I look forward to working with pupils, staff, parents, and alumni to ensure that The Leys continues to thrive as a place of opportunity, belonging, and ambition.”
