Reed’s School staged a thrilling new production of Peter Pan, bringing the magic of J.M. Barrie’s gripping adventure to life
Reed’s School’s Junior Production of Peter Pan, presented in a fresh and fast-paced new version by Evan Placey, was a celebration of creativity and teamwork. Highlights included a scary crocodile, lively musical numbers with the pirates and Lost Boys, thrilling fight scenes and a cleverly designed boat that delighted the audience.
Drama is central to the cultural life at Reed’s, with pupils in all year groups given the chance to perform and be involved either on stage or behind the scenes. The drama department also regularly participates in the Woking Drama Festival, winning prizes for Best Youth Production and Best Director (alongside three nominations for Best Youth Actor and a nomination for Technical Excellence in 2024.
The Surrey school employs a full-time technical manager, who oversees the department’s technical needs, and there’s a popular Stage Tech Club at the Surrey school.
