Wellington student's small wonders

Wellington student and keen photographer Momo X has revealed a hidden insect world in his new book

Wellington student Momo X has won a host of awards for his photography, now featured in his book, The Art of Small. He became fascinated by insects, at age five, and this led on to a passion for ‘ultra-macro’ photography. At 15, he became the youngest Chinese photographer to be featured in National Geographic.

The book, available via Amazon, took three years to prepare and features a collection of more than 100 insect microphotographs that present familiar and unfamiliar minibeasts in a whole new light.

Momo joined Wellington at the start of the Lower Sixth studying for the IB Diploma. He has delivered lectures and presentations to the Biology Society and served on the International Student Committee, where his artistic talents proved invaluable in designing promotional material.
