Christ College Brecon celebrates a cricketer's return

Talented cricketer Eve Pearson returned to Christ College Brecon to present the school where it all started with a cricket shirt

Rising cricket talent Eve Jackson, who left Christ College Brecon in 2025, returned late last term to present a framed shirt to the then Headmaster Gareth Pearson.

The shirt, arranged by the Old Breconian Association, was in recognition of her selection for Glamorgan Women’s while she was still in Sixth Form – a remarkable achievement. She also represented Wales in Year 12 on an international tour in South Africa.

It was a particularly special occasion for Gareth Pearson, who has watched Eve Pearson’s meteoric rise in cricket. Having led Christ College Brecon since 2017, he moved on at the end of the summer term to take on the headship of Blundell’s School.

The new Head of CCB is Alex Wallace, who joined the school at the start of the 2026-7 academic year.
